I never did draw pictures as a kid. All around me, people were creating incredible artwork and awesome sketches, but the knack for making something cool never did come to me, and I never could be bothered with taking the time to learn. It is only in the last few years that the fire has started and I have become what I am today. I credit the spark in that beginning to a project in seventh grade where I set out to animate my teacher turning into an alien through a process called "morphing". It became an elaborate project, and with the help of other students it was turned into a video with music, credits, and the whole nine yards. We had fun with it. From there I began morphing more images, and sometimes trying my hand at simple modifications of computer games. Eventually I got ahold of a cheap digital camera, and as poor quality as it was, began teaching myself photography. Both the hardware and the art have steadily increased in quality from there, and the rest of the story is in the pictures.
Morffed Designs began in 2000 as a tutorial and display of morphing. An eighth grader then, I was being introduced to a fervor for creating digital art that would only multiply and grow in the years to come. Over time, Morffed has changed repeatedly, and each change displayed a growth in myself as well. Since the first version, with its seven-meg .gif images and one-page design, I have delved into graphic art with a passion exceeding most other things in my life, and gained experience, knowledge, and skills mostly through trial and error. And through all the changes that have taken place, the spirit of the site still remains. It is fun, pure and simple, to create beautiful images and capture spectacular moments, and fun is what I live for.
