• Jess grins happily on the last pitch of the Kor-Ingalls Route on Castleton Tower, with five hundred feet of air underneath her feet.
• My toes stand on the brink looking straight down 500 feet at the base of the Kor-Ingalls Route we just climbed.
• A stitched panorama of over 360 degrees from the top of Castleton Tower.
• Medusa watches the last of our group reach the top of the Kor-Ingalls Route on Castleton Tower.
• Kelsey mans the belay as the last of our group reach the top of Castleton Tower.
• Richard grins through the exposure on the last few moves of the Kor-Ingalls Route 5.9 with hundreds of feet of vertical below.
• Kelsye snaps a few shots straight down as Tracy climbs the last pitch.
• The whole makeshift eight-person party we formed to climb the Kor-Ingalls Route 5.9 a little more efficiently.
• Jess and Medusa double-check their rigging before scooting off the edge and simul-rappelling to the base of Castleton Tower.
• Kelsey sits at the edge of a five-hundred foot drop, rigging his rappel to head down.
• Jess Young slowly and tentatively lowers herself onto the rope on the rappel from Castleton Tower.
• A few weeks worth of growth clings to Richard's face at this point in our road trip, with the beautiful Utah mountains falling away behind.
• Tracy fires off a nervous grin as she descends into the shadow of Castleton Tower.
• Richard rigs his rappel on the edge of Castleton Tower.
• Dennis drops over the edge, leaving me to clean up the last of our gear and follow down the 500-foot rappel to the ground.
• So long Castleton! Until next time.
• For a few days in Moab, we teamed up with photographers at the Smugmug.com annual shootout and taught them how to climb and use ropes to gain altitude for photography.
• Smugmug.com's Schmoo works her way higher on a nice 5.6 at the Ice Cream parlor.
• Kelsey stands quiet and still at the edge of Dead Horse Point near Moab, shooting the scenery just before the sun comes up.
• Photographers of the Smugmug Shootout stand lined at Dead Horse Point waiting for the sun to come up and give us some good light.
