  • The prisoners' doorway to the yard, where things are looking a little run-down.
  • This large water tower looms over the yard, visible from practically anywhere on the Rock.
  • Rustic beauty overhead.
  • Greenery takes back a crack in the concrete yard.
  • The baseball field shows some disrepair.
  • Upstairs, where you might just get a nice view of downtown on a sunny day.
  • Old pipes and fittings on a brick backdrop.

  • Small brown birds abound here, so I tried shooting one or two with my new lens.

  • Lombard Street, a 27 percent grade built with a couple nice switchbacks to allow travel.
