  • Tim Gonyea runs hoses along the fireline in an effort to get a secured perimeter.
  • D.O.F. firefighters connect a hoseline on our initial knockdown of the perimeter.
  • Forestry's helicopter maintained constant support overhead with bucket drops on hotspots.
  • The D.O.F. helicopter moves in for a bucket drop.
  • Helicopter bucket drops present a real danger to crews working below.
  • Tim Gonyea patrols the south flank of the fire, securing the perimeter before moving into the "black" to extinguish hotspots.
  • Another bucket drop by the D.O.F. helicopter.
  • Air support moves out to the fill site to fill the bucket.
  • Another watered down hotspot thanks to the D.O.F.
  • This area was the location of a different fire two years ago. Here, Tim Gonyea holds a piece of firefighting equipment evidently left behind during that fire attack.
  • Smoke remained relatively thick for the duration of our fire attack, but was clearing up some as we moved out and handed things over to the Division of Forestry.
