  • No foreign trip is complete for me without some interaction with the local fauna. Our chameleon earlier was fun, but I spent some time in the bushes Sunday evening and found this millipede, which we then spent a few minute playing with. Tabitha bravely stepped up and gave the hundred-plus legs a feel.
  • A small gecko lent us some mild entertainment, crawling around between interested people for a while.

  • Workers shovel sand to mix with cement for plastering the exterior of the church walls.
  • A bucket of plaster rises toward the half-finished exterior wall of the church sanctuary.
  • A sister cleans the floor of the church, a never-ending job in this environment of dust and dirt, and one that I have seen church members do quite a few times in the few days I have been here.
  • We put on our tourist hats for a day's excursion to Nyika National Park, where we drove through the landscape spotting animals of a variety of types, including elephant, zebra, roan antelope, bush buck, and a few other small deer varieties.
